WHO WE ARE

The Women and Children Empowerment Center (Wcec) of Bestway Restoration Campus (BRC) offers a safe place to create multi-generational impact on vulnerable women and children in Ghana.

 

WCEC aims at  rescuing, inspiring, equipping, supporting and restoring lives of the under privileged, abused, rejected  exploited women and children as well as disciple them to live in God's purpose and promote stability, dignity, and self-reliance.

To bring total healing and restoration to women and children in crisis and hopeless situations through safe shelter, life-changing services,  as well as creating opportunities and resources to discover their gifts and being empowered to fulfil God’s purpose.

Our APPROACHs

The Women and Children Empowerment Center (Wcec) of BRC prides in using our 4R innovative approaches to identify, refresh, restore and remodel to impact the lives of destitute women and children.

Rescuing

Identification and mobilization of needy and destitute women and children who have been abandoned, living on the street, abused, trafficked, have nowhere to turn to and barely have any hope.

Rehabilitation & Rejuvenation (Refresh & Restore):

House to provide their basic needs (food clothing shelter); Provision of spiritual and psycho-social counselling and other support services to refresh, renew, remodel, and restore rescued destitute women and children to healthy and normal life.

Reintegration (Remodel)

Nurturing, strengthening and capacity Building to empower beneficiaries in Education, Sustainable Livelihood Skills, and entrepreneurship development to add value to themselves and reintegrate them back into the society

RESCUING

  • Community engagement and sensitization

  • Referrals of women and children with special needs

Rehabilitation & Rejuvenation

  • Safe Shelter and health care for abandoned women and children

  • Support services for women and children with special needs

  • Psychosocial & Spiritual counselling & Rehabilitation

  • Mentoring and Coaching programmes

  • Self-esteem programme.

  • Legal Aid support for survivors of Gender based violence.

  • Placement of abandoned infants in adoptive families

  • Literacy programme for women

  • Day care and primary education for children of underprivileged working mothers

  • Vocational skills development

  • Entrepreneurship skills development

  • Sustainable livelihood programmes (Agricultural, Agro-processing etc.)
